Alvear Amontillado

Montilla Moriles Variety: 100% Pedro Ximénez Vintage: N/V Wine Making Alvear´s Amontillado combines the development of a Fino, aged under a blanket of Flor and the oxidative aging of the Oloroso. It is slightly sweetened and stays in a Solera system of 500 L white American oak casks for more than 6 years. Tasting Notes The wine has a light amber colouration. It has classic aromas of toasted nuts. The palate is smooth with a touch of sweetness, but dry on the finish, with a nutty flavour and hints of dried figs. It is fuller-bodied than a Fino, with a good length in the mouth and nose.
Serving Suggestion: ideal as an aperitif with nuts, for general entertainment, with or in soups, especially consomé or with cheese as Cheddar or Gouda. Serving Temperature: 16ºC-18ºC.
