Tasting Notes
The wine has a lovely rose petal colour with a cherry hue. Its has very pretty aromatics of rose hip, cherry blossom and white plums. Its very savoury, with earthy undertones and spicy. The palate is rich, full and flavoursome. Lots of spiced cherries, plums, strawberries and red fruits. It has a lovely long finish.

Vintage 2010
2010 started much the same as 2009 with bud burst occurring mid to late September for most of our vineyards. It was quite a cold November with the exception of one week of very hot drying temperatures which required irrigation to maintain vine health. December was of average temperatures but the nights were also warm, which helped to increase the rate of ripening. There were some nights while picking the whites that the temperature was still 18 degrees Celsius at 3am. It was also quite a wet year. All the whites were picked before a three day deluge giving us 5 ½ inches. This caused a few disease problems but the vineyards on the our great site prevailed. The whites are showing lovely concentration with vibrant fruit and complexity, the reds will have great varietal character with medium term ageing potential.

Vinification
This rosé has been made from Sangiovese fruit that was hand and machine picked, crushed and left to macerate for 8 – 9 hours. After pressing, the juice was then slowly cool fermented at 15˚C so as to retain fruit aromatics and crispness.
