Grape Variety: 100% Verduzzo Region: King Valley - Victoria Wine Making The grapes were hand harvested and whole bunch pressed. The juice was then fermented in stainless steel at a cool temperature of fourteen degrees Celsius. A small parcel (8%) was fermented in new French oak barriques for eight weeks helping to provide subtle influences to the aromatics and texture on the palate. Maturation Type of oak: a mixture of old barrels Oak Age: Old Oak toasting: Medium Fining agent: Skim milk and Isinglass Filtration: sterile pad Tasting Notes The wine has pale straw colouration with olive green reflections. Initially the nose is a complex aroma of stone fruits, melons, tobacco and ripe pears. This is followed by almond, subtle oak, fresh citrus and floral notes. On the palate pear and nashi pear fruit combine with subtle oak and lees characters. The wine is zesty, fresh with soft, rounded acidity, which gives the wine good length and generosity with a fine tannin structure.
