2011 Vintage
Grape Variety: 100% Arneis King Valley - Victoria
The Wine Aromatic notes of spiced pears, cloves, cinnamon, granny smith apples, and lovely white petal flowers. The palate is fresh and crisp, round and soft. It has great lingering flavours and textures of stewed pears and white plums. This is a perfect match with warmed prosciutto wrapped pears or figs and crusty bread.
Vinification The 2010 Arneis was machine harvested at night. The fruit was then crushed, de-stemmed and pressed lightly so as to minimise the extraction of harsh tannins. The juice was then inoculated with an Alsatian yeast and fermented at a cool temperature (14 – 15 °C) to allow for the extraction of varietal expression and aromatics and a small parcel of wild ferment to add a little note of complexity.
