D.O.: Yecla Grape Varieties: 65% Monastrell, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Garnacha Tintorera from 40+ years old
Vineyards: From plots in the highlands of the Campo Arriba in North Yecla - namely ‘Casa Marta’ which is co-owned by the Castano family and Eric Solomon planted with unirrigated low yielding bush vines
Aging: 10 months French (70%) and American oak (30%)
Solanera is the local expression for a very bright sunny day.
Tasting Notes: Opaque purple. A dense aroma of blackberry, blueberry and dried flowers on the nose with notes of spice and minerals. On the palate, sweet red and dark berry flavors with subtle tannins and a persistent finsih.
