2001 Vintage
D.O.Ca. Rioja Grape Varities: Tempranillo 95% Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha 5%
Ageing: After its primary fermentation, the wine is placed in barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged for a total of 24 months, 12 months in French oak and 12 months in American oak. It is then bottled and aged for another 36 months.
Tasting Notes: Colour of red ruby with elements of brick. On the nose it is elegant and complex with aromas of thyme and rosemary, also with notes of tabacco and leather. On the palate it is round, well balanced and warm, with traces of fruits in liquor and notes of marmalade.
Food Pairing: Perfect for mixed charcuterie, roast leg of lamb, and mature cheeses.
