Bodegas Del Palacio de Fefiñanes

The Palacio de Fefiñanes has been linked to wine production since the 17th century. The winery, as a business venture, was launched a hundred years ago, with the establishment of the trademark and label Albariño de Fefiñanes in 1928. The outstanding Albariño grape from the Salné s Valley is central to wine production from this winery. It is a variety which has been nurtured to maintain its character, extraordinary expressiveness and uniqueness.

Wine Making

The wine is cask fermented in one, two and three year old fine-grained American and French Allier oak barrels. It is aged for six months in the barrel, with bâtonage, and then stored in a stainless steel vat prior to bottling.

Tasting Notes

This wine is clean and bright with a lovely straw yellow colouration. Its nose is reminiscent of ripe crystallised fruit, lush forests and exotic spices. The palate is tasty, elegant, enveloping and oily with hints of toasted oak, clove and traces of mint. The wine is juicy and ripe with butternut, honey and butterscotch flavours.

Serving Suggestions: Shellfish, baked or stewed fish, white meats, poultry.
