2008 Vintage:
Rated as Excellent by the Control Board, this vintage favoured us with a very dry climate and high temperatures. Nevertheless a forceful frost on September 18 reduced the harvest. Thanks to the subsequent good weather conditions, the harvest was fairly good.
The 2008 vintage produced concentrated and silky wines, with smooth and velvety tannins but powerfull at the same time. The wines are open, communicative and generous thath captivates the palate when tasting them. The 2008 vintage produced a great wine that had to be worked out with much gentleness.
Ageing:
The wine was aged in French and American oak barrels for 12 months, followed by a further 6 months in the bottle, allowing it to reach its optimal evolution.
