2008 Shiraz
Region: Mornington Peninsula, Victoria Grapes: Shiraz
Winemaking The fruit for this wine has been sourced from our own estate, Mornington Estate Vineyard Moorooduc and Sea Vista vineyard in Paringa Road. In 2008 approximately 5% viognier was co-fermented with the Shiraz fruit. The wine has been aged for 18 months in new and used barriques.
Wine Notes The bouquet of this wine has spicy blackberry fruit combined with the subtle lifted floral viognier aromatics. The soft fine grained tannins allow for early drinking.
A wine that can be used for current drinking, but will reward short term cellaring.
