2008 Vintage
D.O. Campo De Borja Grape Varieties: 100% Grenache Wine Making Fagus is made from 40-50 year old Garnacha vines, which are possibly the oldest Garnacha vines in the world. The vines yield approximately two pounds per vine. Traditional methods are used for wine production. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel deposits, at a controlled temperature of 28ºC. This is followed by maceration with skin contact, for three weeks. The wine is then aged in specially selected French oak barrels, from the 2003, 2004 and 2005 vintages. Tasting Notes The wine is very clean and bright, with intense cherry red colouration with ruby hues. It has an intense nose of ripe red fruits, with hints of spice and vanilla which result from the “crianza” in French oak casks. The palate is generous, harmonious and sumptuous, filled with red fruits and soft sweet tannins from the French oak barrels. Serve: between 18ºC–20ºC.
Technical Information Harvest: Commenced the fourth week of September. Alcohol: 13.5% Vol.
