2004 Vintage
D.O. Toro Grapes: Tempranillo
Origin: The grapes are carefully selected from our best vineyards in DO Toro. The Tempranillo (Tinta de Toro) grapes were picked from low yielding vines aged between 70 and 102 years old. Harvesting is carried out by hand in optimal conditions of maturation, producing this excellent wine, of which only a limited number of bottles are produced. In addition, only the best vintages of DO Toro are chosen in order to elaborate this wine, as this wine is commercialised only when the harvest is excellent.
Winemaking: The best Tinta de Toro- Tempranillo grapes are selected, after that the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. Then, the wine will be aged in oak barrels over 15 months. Finally, the wine rests further in the bottle until it reaches the perfect quality.
Tasting notes: Deep, cherry red colour, with ochre facets. Elegant, expressive, suggestive and soothing on the nose, with hints of spices and ripe fruit. The palate is complex and persistent, with dry fruit flavours (raisins, prickly pears, etc.). Finca la Meda Reserva is a special wine to enjoy slowly.
Food pairing: Recommended with suckling lamb, red meats and cured cheeses. We recommend that this wine is served half an hour after opening. Best served at 18ºC.
Alcohol content: 13,5% Vol.
